The extremely durable Black Line Rail Clamp, sometimes referred to as the boulevard clamp, is used to connect a vertical fence post with two separate horizontal fence rails—the whole forming a four-way crossing. Rail clamps are commonly used in chain link fencing applications that require bottom and mid bracing, such as backstops, baseball field fencing, tennis court fencing, outdoor dog kennels, and greenhouses.
The Black Line Rail Clamp comes in two parts, which are secured to the fence post and railings with carriage nuts and bolts (sold separately). The fence post is secured within the larger, central gap formed by the clamp's outward curving middle section. The rails are held by the tube-shaped "arms" on the clamp's left and right.
This chain link fencing clamp is made of vinyl-coated steel. What's more, it has been galvanized for superior resistance to rust and corrosion. This makes it invaluable when constructing industrial and sporting fences, which must remain resilient to weather changes throughout the year.
- Made of vinyl-coated steel
- Corrosion and rust-resistant
- Secured with two carriage nuts and bolts, sold separately (Part 11174B)
Due to minor manufacturing differences, actual product may vary slightly from pictures shown.
How the part fits? The clamp consists of two galvanized steel pieces that sandwich one vertical post and two horizontal fence rails in a 4-way intersection or “plus sign” formation.
Where is it installed? Line rail clamps can be used to secure a bottom rail or mid-rail to a chain link fence. Commonly you will see line rail clamps used on backstops/baseball field fencing, tennis court fencing, greenhouse frames, and outdoor dog kennels.
How many do you need? Each clamp consists of two pieces that together sandwich one joint. Typically you will need one clamp at each crossing of post and rail.
Fits 2-1/2” outside diameter post and 1-5/8" outside diameter rail; .66lbs.
Placing one piece of the clamp on either side of the cross-section, secure the clamp in place using two nuts/bolts (sold separately, Part 11174B) for added strength and stability to your fencing project.
